Wanted: young actors who are ready to take the stage by storm. Work on vocal projection, diction and body awareness, along with other performance skills, using a play chosen just for our class needs. Children will bring favorite books to life and become the characters they love! We’ll act out stores, play theatre games and sing songs, all while introducing basic theatre and acting concepts while reinforcing literacy and cooperation skills.

This hybrid of creative drama and performance was created especially for those 2nd and 3rd graders who are ready to begin a more disciplined approach to theatre. While keeping it fun and light, young actors will use scripted and original material to focus on creating a character and collaborating with others in an ensemble. This is a beginning acting class that focuses on vocal projection and fluency, expressiveness and body awareness. Returning students welcome!

Parents can attend an informal showcase on the last day of class.*

WB26 Silly Superheroes

Create your own original superhero, complete with special powers and a silly weakness. Act out scenes where you can save the day, such as catching a falling star or saving a lost puppy, and design your own superhero costume and superhero symbol! Sharing for parents on the last day.
