Penguin+ Finding Nemo Jr.
with Penguin Staff

Ages: 10 - 13
Penguin+ Finding Nemo Jr. is an introductory theatre class for youth with disabilities, ages 10–13, who are just beginning their theatre journey.
The program runs for 11 Tuesdays from November 4, 2025, to January 13, 2026, from 5:30–7:00 PM. A family showcase will be held on the final day of class.
Participants will build foundational theatre skills—such as acting, vocal work, and stage presence—in a fun, supportive environment. Each Artist will be paired with a Mentor who learns alongside them, offering friendship and encouragement throughout the process.
The program concludes with a 30-minute performance featuring short scenes and songs from Finding Nemo Jr., giving young performers a chance to shine and share what they've learned.

Students continue to transition to a more disciplined approach to theatre arts. While keeping it developmentally appropriate, young actors will begin to use scripted and original material to focus on creating a character and collaborating with others in an ensemble. This is a beginning acting class that will focus on vocal projection and fluency, expressiveness, and body awareness.
*Parents may attend an informal sharing on the last day of class.
