The Bad Guys are scary, dangerous, and well…just bad. Or so everyone thinks! Secretly, they want to be heroes. Design and create backdrops and props inspired by Aaron Blabey’s super-fun Bad Guys books, then rehearse scenes full of humor and heart. The class wraps up with a Friday afternoon showcase for family and friends.

Gumluck the Wizard is a whimsical story of magic, unlikely heroes, and big-hearted adventure. Students will spend the week acting, moving, and collaborating to bring a short play to life, featuring a ghost with amnesia, an unpopular fairy, a wise (and wisecracking) raven, and Gumluck—a friendly, bumbling wizard with a hero's heart. The week culminates in an informal performance for family and friends.

The heroic hound with a real nose for justice and his furry feline sidekick have a mystery to sniff out! Help solve the mystery of the missing starlet while staying one step ahead of Petey, the world’s most evil cat. Share a showcase of favorite scenes with parents on the final day.
F26 Creative Characters: FUNdamentals Session A
Grades 2-3 • Saturdays, 9:15-10:30 AM • Sept. 12-Nov. 14 • $234 Subscribers/$244 Non-Subscribers
This hybrid of creative drama and performance was created especially for those 2nd and 3rd graders who are ready to begin a more disciplined approach to theatre. While keeping it fun and light, young actors will use scripted and original material to focus on creating a character and collaborating with others in an ensemble. This is a beginning acting class that focuses on vocal projection and fluency, expressiveness and body awareness. Returning students welcome!
Parents can attend an informal showcase on the last day of class.*

Children will bring favorite books to life and become the characters they love! We’ll act out stores, play theatre games and sing songs, all while introducing basic theatre and acting concepts while reinforcing literacy and cooperation skills.
